Active Autowerke - Catalytic Converter “Break-In” Procedure

*Please read before driving your car equipped with a new Catalytic Converter*

1. Start the car, but do not REV the engine.
2. Idle engine, allowing the temperature to rise naturally to normal operating temperature.
3. Wait at least 10 minutes – then increase the speed to 2500 RPM, hold at 2500 RPM for 2 minutes.
4. Turn off the car and allow the engine to cool down completely.
5. Drive lightly for 5 miles before any “hard” acceleration.

*This procedure is important to avoid the CEL light from coming on in error.
